How One Automotive Company is Paying It Forward

Zeigler Scholarship Recipient

One of the largest automotive dealers in the United States, The Zeigler Automotive Group, has announced that they are offering scholarships for a second year in a row. Scholarships totaling $100,000 are available through the Zeigler Family Scholarship Program for employees and family members/dependents. The Zeigler Automotive Group ranks in the top 1% of automotive dealers in the U.S. in terms of customer service and employee satisfaction, and it’s easy to see why.

Scholarship recipients are chosen by the Zeigler Family Scholarship committee based on academics, extracurricular activities, and financial need. The chosen recipients are required to attend a four-year or two-year university, college, or trade school in the fall after receiving the $10,000 scholarship. The eleven 2020 Zeigler Family Scholarship winners range from ages 17-26 and attend colleges all over the United States.

The scholarship program is just one positive internal program the Zeigler Automotive Group is doing to pay it forward. Another training program that is offered is the Zeigler University Speaker Series which helps employees with promotions. In 2019, over 150 employees were promoted with many of them staying on for long-term positions. In addition, a new employee stimulus program was implemented following the COVID-19 outbreak. The “Zeigler Stimulus Reopening Plan” covers 100% of health care costs during the months of May and June for working employees and those who were scheduled to return. Hourly employees would also receive a $10/hr. pay increase starting May 1, 2020. Flat rate technicians will be guaranteed 40 hrs./week and commissioned sales representatives will be stipend $400/week.

These are just some examples of how the company is investing in the future. The owner and President Aaron Zeigler said, “Our goal at Zeigler has always been to take care of our employees, their families and our communities. It brings me, and I know the rest of our team, great joy to be able to invest in tomorrow’s leaders today.” By implementing the scholarship program, the Zeigler Automotive Group is able to help working families with long-term goals.
